The Cruise of Bou el Mogdad

Unique landscapes are available to you, between Saint-Louis and Podor, between the ocean and the gates of the Sahara. You will meet a warm population and discover a rich and varied fauna and flora.

The cruises take place from October to May, departure every Saturday from Saint-Louis or Podor, depending on the direction of the cruise.

Program

Saturday

Visit of Saint-Louis by horse-drawn carriage and boarding.

Sunday

Departure of the boat, passage of the Diama dam, visit of the Djoudj Park.

Monday

Navigation, visit to Richard-Toll and its “Folie du Baron Berger”, of the Senegalese Sugar Company (CSS).

Tuesday

Navigation then traditional lunch on land, visit to the old Dagana trading post (dyeing, school, market) and stop at the fort.

Wednesday

Stroll around Dagana and visit a Peul village, navigation then visit a Toucouleur village. Mechoui on the banks.

Thursday

Navigation then arrival in Podor, visit to the docks, the fort, the market, walk in the streets.

Friday

Departure in the morning for Saint-Louis by bus.
