Your guide will wait for you at 8 am to set off towards the famous Lac de Guiers. After driving on sandy tracks and being shaken in all directions for a good awakening, you will arrive at the weekly market which is done on Fridays in Mpal and Saturdays in Keur Momar Sarr. You will have the opportunity to walk among sellers, buyers and blend in with the crowd. This market can be considered as a weekly crossroads of civilizations because you will find there goods as much Senegalese as Mauritanian. A real negotiation game will start for you whether it is to buy fruits, vegetables or souvenirs.
We will then take the road to go in a slightly quieter setting on the edge of Lake Guiers. You will settle there for a picnic under a tree on the ground with a view of the children galloping on horses and bathing in the water of the lake … what could be more soothing when it is so hot! After recharging your batteries, you will leave for a visit to a small traditional village not far from there and get to know the villagers and their habitat.
After this short visit you will take the tracks to the Bango Ranch. You will have the opportunity to have your aperitif there, and to regain your strength by bathing in the crystal clear water of the swimming pool. You will be back for Saint-Louis around 4 pm.
