Description

Day

Departure across tracks for the Bolongs of Saloum. Visit a weekly market along the way where all the inhabitants of the surrounding villages meet once a week to sell, buy or barter all kinds of goods ranging from lighter stones to zebu, through spices and other second-hand clothes. A market very rich in colors and smells.

Continue to the bank of the Saloum river where we will take a traditional motorized pirogue for a ride through a maze of sea arms and the river. You will be able to see pelicans, herons, egrets…

Lunch in a restaurant on one of the Saloum islands and return via Joal to visit one of the most important artisanal fishing ports in Senegal where you can watch the arrival of fishermen aboard their huge multicolored pirogues. Return to the hotel in the evening.
